Alaska offers some amazing views and chance to see awesome wildlife. It can be an amazing vacation and most gear can be brought on a plane.
Diamond M Ranch Resort
There are great amenities at this resort! And, it not only offers camping, but there are hotel options out there as well. Free Wifi, Free Parking, Family Rooms, Pets are allowed, Kitchenette and more. It is located between the towns of Soldotna and Kenai, which are about 5 miles away. They have a nationally recognized RV park, and the Kenai rivers are great for fishing from May to Sept. With the 3/4 mile trail along the river, however, it is good to keep in mind that the river is open to Alaska Residence for dip netting from July 10-31. A great place to go camping, in the RV or tent. As well as they have cabins and hotel-style lodging for the less rustic types.
Bird Creek Motel and RV Park
This gem is just 30 miles south of Anchorage airport. There is a motel as well as an RV park, with Free Wifi. This is a small family run motel. Guest check-in is literally just outside the living room of their home. With hot showers and low-cost stays, this is a great way to see Alaska.
Glacier View Cabins
Glacier view cabins are open year around. And, there are amazing views and wildlife is plentiful in this area. Located in Homer Alaska, the views of the glaciers, Homer Spit, Kachemak Bay are stunning. And, the area is frequented by cranes, moose, and Eagles. There are 3 sizes of cabins to choose from, with all of them having gas grills, free wifi, and satellite tv. These cabins are ready to rent with all the linens, towels and cookware provided. There are 4 fire pits on the grounds as well.
Riley Creek Campground
It is located in the Denali National Park. This campground is frequented by some of the guests of the wildlife sort, animals such as Eagle, moose, caribou, porcupine, and waterfowl to name a few. And, remember, this is an area of the Tundra, and Denali National Park has but only one road. This area is very remote and people with their own vehicles can only travel about 15 miles of this road. This campground is open to both tents and RVs and it is close to highway 3, which means there is the convenience of businesses just outside. And, it has trails that lead to the Denali Visitor Center, which is the central hub of the hiking trails. Some amenities include Cell phone connection, Wifi, Food Lockers, Dump Station, Camp Store and more.
Quartz Creek Campground
Quartz Creek Campground is located in Cooper Landing Alaska between Kenai Lake and Quartz Creek. Things to do here are plentiful with hiking, nature-viewing, fishing and boating as some of the popular options. And, there are flushing toilets, drinking water a dump station to name a few. It is apart of the Chugach National Forest which is 5 million acres. There is some wildlife that calls this area home, such as moose, bears, mountain goats, and wolves. This campground is a non-electric campground with no hookups.
